TIPS: When mounting a Type 1 cutoff wheel "wheel blotters' should be used between the wheel and flanges. Blotters take up any irregular surface marks on the wheel and flange and provide for a slip free grip. Remember, the wheel arbor only enters the wheel on the machine shaft. The drive power in transmitted by the flangers. When tightening a properly mounted wheel, grasp the wheel at the lower edge with the left hand and with the wrench provided tighten the mounting nut until it is one half turn past being snug.
